An appeal against the decision to refuse a residence permit is a foreigner’s right to challenge a negative decision regarding a temporary, permanent, or long-term EU resident permit. The appeal must be submitted within 14 days of receiving the decision – through the voivode to the Head of the Office for Foreigners. Filing an appeal suspends the enforcement of the decision and allows the foreigner to stay legally in Poland until the case is resolved. It is advisable to include documents and arguments supporting the change of the decision.
